THREADS :
Overlocker machines use a LOT more thread than a sewing machine. Fact.
Thats why you usually buy them on Spools of 2000 to 5000m.
Thread is available in many colors, but generally, only the basic essentials are needed – buy a few neutral colors to start with.
There may be the temptation to purchase some cheap, generic sewing thread on ‘special’
DO NOT do it !!
It very often leads to threading issues, tension issues, poor stitch quality, AND will fill your machine with fluff and dust that comes from the thread.
Result – Stress, frustration, poor quality work, lesss work, and a premature Service call to your favourite sewing machine mechanic!
Do yourself a BIG favor – stick with good quality, brand name threads – it will be FAR more economical in the end !
